Music is a strong motivational tool that moves people toward positive change. Music Makes Music is dedicated to inspiring and empowering teens to become involved with music, continue their education, and live a drug-free life. Our programs help more than 100,000 teens across the nation annually.

The unique MMM School Events deliver positive messages in a format that teens admire, relate to, and become involved with. Through the MMM Social Networking program, teens have a safe and positive place to spend their Facebook/MySpace time while reinforcing the core messages we deliver. Our Community Concerts give teens and parents the opportunity to experience wholesome and entertaining live music shows.

Letter from The Program Director

We recently started to bring student musicians on stage to be a part of our shows and it motivates me to see that we live by our name - our music is helping to make music!

I've enjoyed sharing music in my everyday life and am so excited to share this passion with students across the Nation.

When talking to music teachers at schools, I am humbled at their dedication through budget cuts and job insecurity. These teachers are going above and beyond their call of duty to teach every student who wants to learn an instrument or sing in the choir. It is my hope that MMM helps to keep these programs afloat and overflowing with new-found student interest. If every student shows involvement, chances are that budget cut will not be to the music program.

It has been a pleasure to get to know our ambassador band, Going Second, and work with the other directors, board members, volunteers, and sponsors of Music Makes Music. We have a dedicated team that is appreciated beyond words.

We have a few surprises in store for the next year and I can't wait to see how MMM develops - the sky's the limit!
